    Description

This is an extremely historical & rare group that belonged to LTC Jules D Yates. LTC Yates was a West Point graduate who was sent to the Phillipines before the attack on Pearl Harbor. LTC Yates became a prisoner of war and survived the BATAAN
DEATH MARCH and was imprisoned at CABANATUAN prison. LTC Yates was one of the 513 US & British prisoners that were rescued by the 6th Rangers in one of the only successful large scale POW rescue in WWII. His name is listed in the book "Ghost Soldier's" . There was also a
    film
made about it called "THE GREAT RAID"The uniform is stamped in several places with his laundry mark. I can not stress what a historically important group this in and in my opinion belongs in a museum. Included is also my research from NARA.This will make a great addition to any collection.
